CANCELLATIONS

If cancellation is within 48 hours of the original online booking, a full refund is given.

WavStay Cancellation policies FLEXIBLE, STARDARD and STRICT. Hosts will choose the policy that is right for them at the time of the listing.  Policies are put in place and will be upheld by WavStay to protect both guest and host. 

Refund information if cancelled prior to:

Flexible – 24 hours prior to check in. FULL REFUND except fees up to 24 hours of check-in. 

Standard – 7 days prior to check-in. For a 50% REFUND except fees up to 7 days of check-in.

Strict – 14 days prior to check-in. NOT REFUNDABLE within 14 days of check-in. Fees included.

If the guest cancels less than the number of days in advance or decides to leave early after check-in, the nights not spent are not refunded.

How do I know if my reservation is canceled? 

Once the guest clicks the cancellation button, a message is generated at that time and the reservation is cancelled. All cancellations policies and Guest Refund Policy will apply at that point.

As a HOST what if I need to cancel a WavStay booking?

Host Cancellation. 

WavStay offers one free cancellation.  All other cancellations will have a penalty of $50 per cancellation. 

As a Guest what do I do if my Host cancels?

The Guest will have two options, 1. Transfer their payment to a new reservation and if the new reservation is less than they originally paid, if any difference in price WavStay will refund the difference. 2 Receive a full refund of their payment.

REFUNDS

It’s important to know that WavStay always has the final say when it comes to refunds. WavStay will always do its part to help dissolve any disputes or issues between a host and guest.

Cleaning fees:

Cleaning fees are always refunded if the reservation is canceled before check-in.

The WavStay service fee:

Refunds are given if a guest cancels within 48 hours of booking the reservation or at least 24 hours before check-in. 

What if my trip ends early do I still pay for the rest of the nights? 

If the guest decides to depart early the additional WavStay fees will be refunded for nights not spent 24 hours after the cancellation. However the cancellation policy by the host will still be in effect.
